Ongoing: Beginner and advanced sea kayaking and stand-up paddleboard classes and tours include Inverness, Point Reyes, Tomales Bay, secluded beaches, Drakes Estero, Giacomini Wetlands, Hog Island and tule elk, Nick’s Cove and the Estero Americano. Kayak, paddleboard and electric bike rentals also available. Prices vary.

China Camp State Park: China Camp State Park, Point San Pedro Road, San Rafael; 415-456-0766; friendsofchinacamp.org. Bayfront park with a Chinese fishing village and museum, a natural history center, beaches, hiking, biking, equestrian trails, day-use areas and campgrounds. 8 a.m. to sunset daily. Echelon Riders Club: Mike’s Bikes, 836 Fourth St., San Rafael; 415-454-2361; echelonridersclub.org; email wayne@echelonridersclub.org. Sundays: Group ride at 10:45 a.m. Meet in the parking lot on Fifth Avenue behind Mike’s Bikes in San Rafael. Youths 12 to 17 can join if accompanied by an adult.

Saturdays through Mondays: Point Bonita Lighthouse tour. 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Ongoing: Hikes, volunteer days and outdoor activities at Marin Headlands, Muir Woods and other parks. Weekends: Morning, full-day and sunset wildlife kayaking tours on Tomales Bay. Call for reservations. Private kayaking tours are also available anytime. Stand-up paddleboard rentals are available at 11401 Highway 1 in Point Reyes Station. Bioluminescence paddles and overnight camping trips are also available.

Richardson Bay Audubon Center & Sanctuary: 376 Greenwood Beach Road, Tiburon; 415-388-2524; richardsonbay.audubon.org. Ongoing: Bird walks, drawing classes, Lyford house tours, demonstration gardens, education programs, restoration work days and more. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

Daily: Single kayak or paddleboard rental $25 per hour; double kayak $40 per hour. No reservations required. Weekends: Scenic Sausalito 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. $75 ($60 for kids 17 and under). Titanium Racing offers a variety of runs and marathons in Marin and throughout the Bay Area including the Turkey Trot, Fourth of July Firecracker Run, Novato Wild Horses Half Marathon and 5K, Tiburon Half Marathon and 5K and many more. Ongoing: Environmental education center and wildlife hospital treating approximately 200 species. Pool bird feedings are at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. Special presentations of Wildlife Ambassadors with their handlers are available at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Docent tours are available by appointment.
